Baby's 1st Yankee Game!!!
lot's happening here!
We saw the doctor about 2 weeks ago. Just for bloodwork and we heard the heartbeat- 161 bpm.
I haven't gained any more weight yet. The doctor says I am right on track. Our next appointment is June 17th which is the 20 week appt. I am so looking forward to it. It will be the next ultrasound and we should see a lot more this time.
I never really thought it was such a big thing to see the baby, but now that it is ours, I wish we could have an ultrasound everyday. For one, to see the growth and two, to make sure everything is ok.
So far, Ralph has made it to every appointment and we are both so excited!!!
We started discussing names again, and figured out there are many we will not chose...but we haven't found the right ones yet....

Baby moved today????
I had a great Mother-to-be Day today. We were laying on the couch watching the yankee game and I started to feel a little flutter in my stomach. It lasted about a minute, then went away and then came back. I have never felt anything like this, it was pretty exciting! I am thinking it might be too early to feel anything, but I felt something, so maybe it was little pea.
I took a spin class early this morning, so maybe that got the baby going, who knows!
Either way, it was a cool feeling. I couldn't feel it with my hand, and Ralph didn't feel anything.
So, I will take this as a little mother's day gift from little pea!!

Baby Names???
Ralph and I have started thinking and talking about names.... and we currently are not agreeable. We have decided we are not going to find out if it is a sweet little boy or girl, so we need to have a few names ready to go.
Ralph sent me this link today, from yahoo, my daily news source.. and it is quite interesting.

We definitely have time before the big naming day, but, this is also a big decision.
Other news- work was a little crazy this week, but now it is friday and I am home.
Ralph is in Indianapolis for a few more days, then will be home too! (not very exciting news)
I am close to 4 months now and starting to show, so I will start taking pictures soon! Time seems to be going slow. I would love to skip to the fall if I could!

doctor update
We met with Dr. Birnbaum tonight. He was very nice and very thorough. We discussed our family history and any questions we had. I have started spinning again, which I absolutely love and greatly missed. I bought a HR monitor yesterday so I can monitor my HR while spinning. I need to keep it below 140-150 bpm. I am also back to regular weight training and pilates.
I have very good incentive to stay in shape since Kim's wedding is in Oct. and I need to be able to help her, I really don't want to be waddling!
We heard the heartbeat today, 160 bpm. Dr Birnbaum says the baby is about 2 1/2 inches long. I have gained 1 pound in the past 14 weeks. The doctor says I am right on track.
We went out for mexican tonight for cinco de mayo, Ralph had 2 margaritas, I had an iced tea, how exciting...

More pictures of little pea!

We met with Jackie at Drs. Turano and Birnbaum's office on Monday and had our 2nd ultrasound. Jackie is the ultrasound tech. She measured the baby and said everything looks great! Little pea has 2 arms and 2 legs and we could see the nose. She or he was really moving around a lot, from it's side to it's back, it was so nice to see so much movement.
Now I am in my 14th week and feeling much better. I just finished a busy week at work and Ralph and I are meeting up with my co-workers for dinner.
Last night we visited some friends who just had their 1st baby, Derek, last week.
He is so tiny and precious, it just makes us want to fast forward the next few months. November can't come fast enough.
Ralph and I visited babies-r-us again this week, and tried all the rocking chairs and gliders. There is so much to look at and think about. We have started thinking about a baby room, but no decisions yet.
