Yankee Stadium Tour

Over the weekend Ralph and I went on a tour of the new Yankee Stadium with my parents and Aunt Maria and Uncle John. It was about an hour and we learned all about the Yankees. Ralph and my Uncle John are the biggest fans ever...they had a great time and it was fun to see them so happy and interested in everything.

21 week Dr visit

We had our 21 week visit with Dr. Turano last week. I haven't gained any more weight and Dr. Turano says it is ok because Little Pea is growing right on target. HR was 166 bpm. The next appt is at 28 weeks for the glucose test.

Little pea is moving more and more everyday. Sometimes I am so busy at work, then I feel a little flutter and I just stop for a minute and enjoy. It is like a little treat every few hours!

Ralph and I started registering last week. We were so funny, we spent about 4 hours at 2 stores and registered for just a few things! We need to go back and really register now, but we had fun.
We are registered at Buy Buy Baby, Babies r Us and http://www.tinybirds.com/. I like some things at each store and tiny birds has great natural toys and clothes.

After many weeks of searching, I found the baby bedding at Shepherd's Dream. (www.shepherdsdream.com) They are a small company located in northern CA. Their bedding is 100% wool and organic cotton. The wool is locally grown. They were so easy to talk with and order from. We received the bedding last week and absolutely love it!!!!! One of our goals are to be as natural as possible with the baby's room and also to purchase from companies in the US. I could not be happier with the bedding!!!

Best Card Ever!!!!

Kim and Rob sent Ralph a Happy dad-to-be day!! Look at this card...SO CUTE!!!!! We had a great day today for Father's Day. Ralph received some books, including Let's Go, Yankees! by Yogi Berra. I've already read it a few times to little pea. We also got a 1st yankee shirt for 6-9 months, just perfect for Baby's first baseball season!

Ralph's now in Chicago for a few days, so it is up to me to read every night. What a fun job!!!!

21 weeks!!! (and feeling lots of fluttering!)

We had our 20 week sono on Thursday. We met with Mary, the sono tech. It's really a cool sono, she measures everything. We were able to see the heart flickering, both arms and hands, both legs and feet, the kidneys, the brain, the spinal cord and the heart chambers...We did not find out what little pea is....It will be a great suprise in November when little pea arrives! It looks like little pea has the cutest nose and lips.
The baby measured at 8 in and 12 ounces!!! I have been feeling fluttering consistently for the last 5 days. It is pretty cool to feel. The best will be when Ralph can feel the baby too!

Here I am at 21 weeks! Definitely showing now. A few months ago, my friend Rachel told me to get the bella band, so I bought some yesterday and started wearing it today. What a great invention! I am still wearing some of my pants and most of my shirts, but the bella band makes everything more comfortable. I have good energy now, but have been getting lots of headaches these past few weeks. Otherwise, everything is good!

Day Trip to Philadelphia

Last week we spent the day in Philly. We met with some of Ralph's co-workers and were able to walk around the city a little. Definitely some great architecture...Ralph's favorite!

LOVE park in Philly. We walked around the city, it rained on and off. We met some great friends from California who are from Philly for dinner. It was so nice to see Jamie and Nicole, like we hadn't missed a day and it has been about 3 years!

Baby Bump!!!

Well, I guess the baby bump is starting to arrive. Little Pea is starting to show!! I am now 19 weeks. I haven't gained a pound since my last visit. My next dr. appt is next Thurs with Dr. Turano. We are really looking forward to it. Ralph is in Greensboro NC now, he will be back tomorrow night.

It has been nice getting things done this past week. We are ordering new windows for the house and are starting to plan the baby room. This room will definitely be peaceful. I have spent lots of time searching for bedding, furniture, strollers and all the other baby things. It's been a great help having friends and family who have little ones. They know exactly what we need.

We have received many great gifts so far, which makes the wait for little pea so much harder... Two of our favorite are Yankee bodysuits and Sophie the Giraffe! We also received a book titled "Little Pea". How perfect. I have been reading to little pea every night before bed, although sometimes it is a book and sometimes my to-do-list for tomorrow.
Sophie the giraffe is my favorite. She is made of 100% natural rubber and food paint. Completely safe for baby to chew on and play with. We both feel very strongly with having natural products around the baby and house and also my goal is to buy/register with companies that produce in the USA. There are many great products made here, so I have been on the search for what is best for us.
Last week Ralph and I went to a baby 101 class. It was for Viacord, which is preserving cord blood after delivery. We pretty much had agreed this is something we were interested in. After learning more, we decided to preserve the cord blood for little pea. This is one way we can plan for the future. It is all about the future with little pea!!!!
