Little Pea update

Little pea is growing strong. I had an appt on Monday for the glucose test. Baby's heartbeat was 156. I have now gained 6 pounds in total, right where I should be. I am all clear to travel to Vegas next week...I can't wait to go. Besides relaxing for a few days, Ralph and I are meeting up with our good friends Denise and Alex from Cali...can't wait to see them!!!
Back to the Dr- Bad news, I need to go for the 3 hour glucose test tomorrow :(
Luckily, I can get in early and then get to work. Dr. Birnbaum called to say I was just over the threshold for the 3 hour test and I am also a little anemic...so now I have an iron supplement to take daily. Our next sono is August 12th, which is 28 weeks...I am just finishing up the 6th month, overall feeling great.

Kim's Bridal Shower!

Such a beautiful day and I think she was REALLY suprised!!! Lots of planning to suprise her since we had to get her down from Vermont!
Husband-to-be, Rob, showed up right before gifts to suprise her.

All the cousins and friends!!! It was a great time and Kim received some really beautiful gifts for their new home in Vermont!! Congrats Kim and Rob!!!

Lowes...our new home

We are currently living at Lowes...Ralph is there almost everyday he is home, so here he is with the lowes guy riding scooters around. We know an employee by 1st name in every department. The sad thing is they know us too!

1st Baby Class!!

Last week Ralph and I took our 1st baby class with Mary Kahrs. It was 3 hours on breastfeeding and caring for the new baby. My plan is to be home for about 3 months, then decide if I will go back part time, full time or perdiem. Mary spoke about our schedule and how to make it all work. Mary is such a great person, full of knowledge and humor...we are so lucky to know her and be able to learn from her.
Our next classes are lamaze, baby basics and infant/child CPR...all in September.

As for the house, our timeline is still intact. We are having the windows installed next week, then siding the week after, then we are working on the 3 bedrooms. It is a big, big project. Ralph and I have planned everything down to the detail, especially with the architecture background... (and most people know Ralph is a perfectionist). We are very happy with our choices and can't wait to get the house back in order. It is a lot of work, but very exciting!!! Soon there will be pictures...

so tired...

These past 2 weeks I have been soooo tired! Work has been crazy and there is construction going on at home. We are getting new windows, new siding and we are re-doing 3 bedrooms. The plan is to have everything completed by the beginning of Sept. We are still on track but it is very time consuming.
I have been having headaches about 3 times a week. They vary depending on day or night. I have been taking Tylenol as needed. Dr. Turano knows about the headaches. Besides tylenol there is not much I can do.
Ralph and I start some prenatal classes this week. We are taking 4 in total. This week is breastfeeding, then in Sept. we are taking Lamaze, infant/child CPR and baby basics.
On a fun note...We just booked airfare to Vegas for early August. Ralph will be there for work, so I am tagging along. This could be our last trip before little pea enters our world! We are meeting up with our great friends Denise and Alex and their son Avrum... so I can't wait. So far I am in the clear to travel.
